Being responsible for two women: a 97 year old and a 90 year old. Every day brings a new form of frustration.

@exexec that doesn't sound fun in the slightest

@Thelonewolf1993 They're my mom and her sister. Fortunately, my wife helps.

@exexec That sounds tiring. My father in law, age 92, was with us for a month and that was too much. I feel for you. So many people are care givers. It is hard.
@exexec How well I relate with what you are saying. In 2016, then 2017 I lost Father and Mother in Law (respectively). After caring for my own wife for the last 25 years, it ended up in me caring for her Mother and Father also; I ran myself ragged, never complained and simply got on with it because someone had to do it. When they had both passed, after getting over the grief I thought it was time I took in a deep breath and begin to think more about myself; after all, I had so much 'free time' now, never on call day or night and only my wife to think about.

In effect, it was nothing, and still is nothing, like that. I have so much free time and, seemingly, not much to do with it. I feel lost, I feel somewhat disconnected from myself. I feel sensitive in ways I have never experienced, I feel anxious and tired with no reason I can give to explain why I do. Ah well ...

I really do feel for you and I know your life is hard. Take good care of yourself (in all that you will have to do) and give yourself breathing space and time to reflect; something I most certainly should have done and yet had no real idea how failing to do this put me in a place I could never have thought I might ever be.
