@scottamadore2 I tried to organise a really cool 5 day trek across a piece of wilderness in newfoundland and everyone cancelled 😭 I'm trying to figure out what my next adventure will be

@reflectingmonkey man are u for real?? .. I actually am struggling through similar situations, my friends always back out from such adventures ...perhaps most of them are married may be that's why
But soon I am gonna travel somver around the world ... Scotland is one option

Why don't you do Newfoundland all by yourself? Why do you need to follow a crowd?

@scottamadore2 Canada, my last adventure out of the country was in Thailand and Nepal a little over a year ago but I went alone and sometimes it got lonely ( I was gone for 2 months). yes Scotland looks awesome, so does Iceland. Iceland and then Scotland is something I'd like to do, like in one trip.

@swirlie Its a 5 day trek with a compass across unmarked wilderness, a little hardcore to do alone.

@reflectingmonkey lets do it together sometime, yes Iceland is also an option a real good one ...let me know next time.
I am sure it might be lonely, one does need a company of a person but he/she should be enthusiast as sometimes boring company leads to a horrible journey

@scottamadore2 I know, that happened to me in Mexico, walking to a hot spring that was a few hours of walk in the scorching sun with 2 German girls that kept saying we should turn back 😂 I said "the highway is that way, the hot springs are the other way, you decide."

in Canada I would like to see Nova Scotia ... wish I could I settle der after my retirement

@scottamadore2 no, just met them in Oaxaca and they decided to come with me. they ended up making it to the hot springs but then didn't want to swim because they didn't have bathing suits, haha. I just went in naked.

@swirlie no, unmarked as in no signs, directions, arrows, trails, no maps with a "you are here" mark. just topographic maps and a compass.

@scottamadore2 it was ok, I have nostalgia about other moments, like travelling with 3 really wonderful girls in Guatemala, 2 Japanese and a German, I lost their information(was before facebook) I still miss them.

Did you know that the entire island of Newfoundland is comprised primarily of exposed granite rock with not too much vegetation such as tall stands of trees blocking your view?

yeh in my country I have done but its not something that I would like to count .... I need to visit other places as I told u about scotland ...etc
even Alaska , greenland
the major issue for trips as such is finacial matter thats all

almost 2-3 years back I had an option to settle in Nova Scotia via a state sponsorship damn I missed it
