Ever been the subject of mandatory evacuation?

Me and my friends were evacuated from our attempt to camp out in the Spirit Lake, Washington area due to the pending eruption of Mt. St. Helens. The snowy top of the mountain looked like a vanilla ice cream cone...then, a couple of days later, like a hot fudge sundae.

My bro's inlaws have... They were out of town when it happened and the police showed up and my mom was babysitting their kids... Pretty hectic and unnerving when something like that happens during something that's not even for your own home and being responsible for the safety of other's children..

I have friends and family that have had to evacuate Hawaii Island due to the recent Kilauea volcano eruptions. It's so sad, because unlike other natural disasters, they don't know how long it will last.

More than once. I didnt evac. But wildfires are a totally different beast than hurricanes.
