There was a person sadly no longer with us who however well intentioned often acted in a way that appear rude and at times had very much "I am right and you're so wrong" approach to life that at times was deeply hurtful.
While I wouldn't condone it, I have come to realize that was a part of how they coped with their own deeply worrying and troubling issues by adopting a highly confrontational and at times less than respectful approach to themselves which spilled over to me.
I don't believe for one moment it came from a malice place so it's something best forgiven and moved on from.
