To only care about people who are physically sick and dying?

Does anyone find this hypocrite? Like what about people who arent physically ill/dying? If they suffered from mental illness would you care about them then? Why does someone have to be on their death bed or suffering a debilitating visible physical illness to be treated with compassion? Why does it have to get to that?

Good question. I too used to get worked up like this.
But now I understand that there are some who care for old, some for disabled, some for mentally challenged, and likewise. So we shouldn't expect everyone to worry about everyone else all the time.
It's okay if they don't care for some other kinds only one. Look at it this way... At least they care!

Mental illnesses can be more debilitating than physical illnesses. However, like you said, one's visible and other isn't.
