Durring, by doing my best to leave and becoming just as abusive. I didn't deal with it well.
After, by addressing it in therapy and focusing on the support I had. I left, focused on my own goals and the positive influence.
I still hear his voice every now and then, in the silence or in the voices of other men, annoying.
