Few places make me feel quite as at home as the Lake Theater. A part of me truly lives there.

@DollyLand Lmao no just a movie theater but that would certainly be an interesting alternative.

Ah classic cinemas. I saw my first movie in a movie theater here.
It was Beauty and the beast I was about 4yrs old at the time.

@KaysHealingPath The Lake and the Cinemark are the two Classic Cinemas theaters I frequent, really only with my grandma. We've been doing that for longer than I cam remember. The Cinemark fell out of favor with us for a while but we went back for the first time in years to see Stephen King's "It" last autumn, and it was like walking into my five year old memory again, it was so cool.

When I go with a large group of people I usually hit River East 21 or 600 North Michigan downtown because they're big and busy and have pool tables and bowling alleys and restaurants and such.

@BlueMetalChick my social life revolves around my kids lol 😂
So we aim for cheap because it’s usually bundles with some type of shopping or dinner

@KaysHealingPath Well I'd imagine it would be easier too since you get a discount on the matinee. It's six bucks for a ticket before 4:30 at the Cinemark. I don't mind daytime movies.

What's up with it?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@MethDozer It's a small theater in downtown Oak Park, I've been going there for so many years I can't remember when I first began.

@BlueMetalChick Gotcha. I guess that would be the area drive-in for me here then.
