Can you think of some ways you've witnessed the passage of time and how it makes you feel

I have a jailbird cousin. One time I looked online at his plethora of mugshots. It was like a scientific study of age progression. His receding hairline, the texture of his skin, the expression of his eyes even.

I pause when I view things dilapidated by time and tide. Old structures and the like. It is a sobering experience for me, to consider how little time we have.

I have children. Nothing seems to hammer home the passing of time like watching my children grow up. It’s surreal.

I work with the geriatric population so I definitely understand what you're referring to. I do home visits so I see a lot of their old pictures when they were young, vibrant and strong with their entire lives ahead of them. It definitely gives me perspective.

I saw the transformation of a hooker into a junkie. She looks 20 years older than she is. Brain is gone.

@KelseyR When my closest friend was in the hospital in a coma last year before he died from liver cirrhosis due to alcoholism, he was 37, but he looked about 47. It was a hard experience. I stayed with him a while

@DanielChristensen you could see it on YouTube some Sheriff started taken photos of the same people getting arrested over and over and over and within a couple of years you wouldn't believe it
