If they are 60 and trying to have a kid I would say yes. They will start to have health problems as they age and raising a child while battling age related illnesses would be very stressful. However, there are those who are defacto parents to grandchildren as a result their kids being in jail, in a hospital or dead.

@Longpatrol I personally know a couple in their 70’s raising a teenage grandson because his parents are drug addicts. An extremly admirable and dignified couple.

@Longpatrol getting older does not automatically mean you become ill and incapable. There have been a good number of older mothers who have actually become surrogates for their young daughters who have been unable to cary a child themselves. Perfectly healthy babies ..carried by women over 50.
