You cannot suppress your emotions but you can just observe them instead of indulging. Get a journal and write everything you observe until it passes. Or just observe. Or divert those emotions to something like focus on breathing or TV or many things but hopefully you do something creative and useful.

@MasterofNone after a point of time they kind of end up flooding out unexpectedly
