Why do people fall in love with the person who ignores them the most?

It's strange isn't it?
We chase the ones who ignore us and we ignore the ones who like us.

They seem more valuable :We humans have brains that believe that whatever is scarce is valuable.It's because humans get more motivated when they believe that whatever they are perusing is about to run out.
It’s more like a challenge to them.
