If you know you'd regret it, and for a long time, why are you considering it at all? Maybe you'd be better off putting your mind on something else as a distraction, ideally something hopeful and constructive.

@MaybeTooNarcissistic Can you tell us what hangs over you? And why you cannot just wait for it to go away...? Why must you do anything about it? Many problems will solve themselves in time.
