Do you believe in destiny?

Then why do we have choices? I still don't get the idea of predetermined destiny.

Predetermination, destiny, etc., in my opinion, is an easy way for some people to excuse or defend their life choices. If one can say that he or she has no control over how the course of their life flows, and that decisions made were pre-ordained, then what is the point? That isn't truly living and/or experiencing life.
