That someone who had come to mean a great deal to me wasn't the person I thought he was. It can be so hard to let go of comforting illusions and face cold, hard reality.

@SW-User I think perhaps I do. I actually have something real, though it's less than perfect. I've also found out that I'm less than perfect, but I am at least able to work on that. What I have (and what I am) is a work in progress. But that illusion would have gotten me nowhere. So in the end yes, I suppose reality is better, though it takes real work.
