Renee Goode

Would it be fair to conclude that given the underwhelming in Renee Goode from the black "community" that they do not care what happens to liberal white women...unless they are supporting a black cause. Eg George Flloyd the convicted criminal? Why is that, do you think? Racism, possibly?

Possibly yours, because you clearly don’t understand.

We voted overwhelmingly against Donald Trump, against his racism, against ICE and everything he has implemented since taking office, because we had a pretty good idea it was coming. The voters who put him in office didn’t listen to those of us who were even saying no back in 2016.

I’m guessing that someone from the UK might not know just how many black people (not convicted criminals, women and children too) have died at the hands of law enforcement here. George Floyd was just the last straw (and there have been subsequent deaths since his). As citizens and voters we did what we had the power to do in November 2024. But our countrymen put a convicted criminal in the White House ! That’s how much they cared about the law.

Nobody I know was happy about the murder of Ms. Goode—it was an outrage. But it’s a reflection of the racism in this country that her death by Trump’s stormtroopers might possibly be what wakes people up here. One white woman’s senseless murder might get laws changed (and ICE reined in) where decades of deaths of people of color, even after worldwide protests, haven’t.

@Carla Alas, I’m sure that’s so, but when posters from other countries comment who don’t understand what has actually happened to people of color in the U.S., I try to give them the benefit of doubt.

There are people here who no longer have access to black history, so I’ve always been impressed by Europeans who’ve made sure they knew the background before commenting on our community.

This fellow clearly didn’t do that. 🤨

@Carla I didn’t say anything about being queer. Can you read?
