@Roundandroundwego The inequality in capitalism can be overcome by hard work. The same can not be said about the inequality/poverty among the marxist states.

@Roundandroundwego Get serious. Have you ever lived in a socialist society? My uncle went to East Germany during the time of the Soviet Union. His one observation. "When you went behind the Iron Curtain all smiling stopped". He was shocked by the difference a few feet could make. On one side people were happy and able to laugh on the other the best you got was a scowl and terrible food if there was food to be had.

@hippyjoe1955 I'm very serious about the wealth of every society being used for everyone, not just some people. Most people prefer that - so you definitely need those troops on every border and lots of "security" forces if you're the USA! People hate this shit big time. You probably need NATO to be on the offensive everywhere or we'd get out of your capitalism as a species. You definitely look ready to kill everyone to stop us.

They had fled there because in communist Vietnam they were considered 'intellectuals' and were thus on a huge kill list. What was their crime? They had a bit of education.

@Alyosha Marxism , being an analysis of the capitalist system wouldn't exist without the materialist realities it analyses so of course it just doesn’t come "from within". We, our consciousness is a product of our environment, our socialisation and our social relations.
He says consciousness is a product of society and the material reality shapes society.
