Genuine question......what is going to change?
JJones · 22-25, M
@gol979 We'll see! But we know for sure NYC is going to have a massive improvement!
gol979 · 46-50, M
@JJones how so?
JJones · 22-25, M
@gol979 Free public buses, cheaper groceries and more affordable housing! That's just the main things 😎
gol979 · 46-50, M
@JJones buses maybe......but "affordable" housing and cheaper groceries isnt going to happen imo. Unless they are lowering/removing taxes? Or looking into alternative non-debt based currency?

What are the mechanisms to make this happen now the democrats have won back some power?
JJones · 22-25, M
@gol979 Top 1% of earners will be taxed 2% more in NYC 😎
gol979 · 46-50, M
@JJones so more tax and some more trickle down economics. Same old then. Hows the same old rendering change? Makes no sense
JJones · 22-25, M
@gol979 You should just look into it if you're curious
gol979 · 46-50, M
@JJones i have....and like i said it makes no sense. I get that partisans are excited when their team wins but its baffling as to why

@gol979 Taxing the uber wealthy and using that revenue to provide goods and services to the masses is common sense.

The reason we have such a gap between rich and poor is insufficient tax revenue and wage desparity.
gol979 · 46-50, M
@JSul3 taxation is a tool of the uber wealthy/powerful but has a mythology of being a just form of extortion.
