This is why those of us who are actual liberals have been saying that Democrats aren't liberals. They are moderate conservatives.

@LordShadowfire Liberals ARE moderate conservatives. That is what liberalism is and always was.
That's why hardline conservatives and far righties attack it as being something left. If they can paint liberals as lefties they win at keeping the goal posts strictly in the right wing territory.

@LordShadowfire The terms get fuzzy and used in many ways. I prefer "progressives" for those more left leaning democrats. My views have stayed largely the same so I would have been a liberal in the 90s.
