Should minors be allowed access to gender affirming care if they have been thoroughly vetted for gender dysphoria?

For example puberty blockers if they are younger adolescents and hormone replacement therapy for older adolescents.. surgeries wait until they are 18 or 19. 27 states have laws that are in effect criminalizing helping transgender youth. Now I say in most cases there will be a desistance later on with transgender identity. But for a select few cases who have been thoroughly vetted that it is gender dysphoria and nothing else, are we to make them wait and develop anxiety, depression, or suicidal ideation because they could not get access to care?

That’s sad, babes. I knew…I guess I always knew…from a young age that I was the wrong sex. When I left school I decided to do something about it.

It was a hard road. Called ‘bent’, ‘queer’ and, god, ‘pedo’. Horrible. Absolutely awful.

That support from a community helped a lot. Helped me find me.

With all this? I think a case by case thing, babes. Some like me know, and when you know you know, and some are a little muddled in life and not sure.

And that’s ok. Part of life, part of growing up.

There. My thoughts.

Really a tough question, on one hand they should be able as soon as possible to live their self, on the other, what if they mature and realize they made a mistake
