So this question is a little bit from the past few years
I have noticed a trend of male to female transgender athletes participating in for example women’s combat sports like mixed martial arts with biological females. Don’t full fledged biological males who go through male puberty have an unfair advantage over biological females? Even if those females are unusually strong. Or in weight lifting competitions. Yes they have to take a certain amount of estradiols to lower their testosterone for a certain amount of time but the muscle mass and bone density are not completely obliterated. I’m sympathetic to transgender rights as a whole but in professional sports there needs to be a certain level of fairness. And I know transgender women in female spaces has been a hot button issue. Chances are I have encountered a trans women in say a women’s dressing room or women’s bathroom and never known it at the time but I can see how many biological females would be uncomfortable. I’m intersex so I sympathize with trans people but not perverts claiming to be trans just so they can go to women's prisons, locker rooms, bathrooms, dressing rooms and act inappropriate. As far as bathrooms I think single user bathrooms are best as I don’t like to piss and shit with someone hearing my business in the next stall over. And if a trans woman is intact meaning they still have a penis they should change behind a curtain to not make the females around them feel traumatized. I also don’t think violent sex offenders who are male should be housed in female prisons. I empathize with a certain type of trans woman ie very effeminate former gay boys who live as women to be comfortable in their skin. Think princess joules or blaire white ( though I don’t agree with ms. Whites politics) but someone like Caitlyn Jenner would give me a heart attack in the women’s facilities. The trans women who are attracted to men don’t phase me. The ones that are turned on by women though that makes me a little uncomfortable. I’m an intersex woman who is pansexual but I never want to make anyone feel uncomfortable. I assume no one is interested in me unless they come out and say it. And I understand it’s a natural reaction for a woman or girl to feel unsafe with a boy ( post puberty) or man in a more intimate space that she didn’t invite them to. So the question is how do we balance trans rights with the rights of biological females to have safe intimate spaces and to not feel threatened or apprehensive about speaking up?
