I Am In Support of Transgender and Genderqueer People

I have become more and more involved in the transgender community and have met some wonderful people. Many of their stories are wonderful while many others are just heart breaking. Many are quiet supporters while others are very outspoken. They run the gamut from devoutly religious to ex sex workers, all of which can tell you stories that could send anyone back into the closet. Yet they continue to fight regardless of opposition set backs to be recognized as people. I have learned a lot from them about myself and how things have changed over time. We have a long way to go, but we can never stop.
