Why are there so many transphobic bigots on here?

Understand that this is new territory for a lot of people. When I was younger, the few trans people whom I knew had literally transitioned—surgically. Now there are people with male genitalia who insist upon access and inclusion to cis women’s safe spaces, and some want to be able to steer the narrative for all women.

For some cis women, especially those who have experienced sexual assault, that is concerning, and the fear is real. But it seems like no one can even have a discussion or conversation about it without immediately being labeled "transphobic". Unless we’re eventually headed to where everything is coed, there’s a lot left to talk about.

I admit, there’s a lot that I don’t understand. But I try not to judge, but to listen and be respectful, because I have friends in this community and always have.

@bijouxbroussard You can't have a civil discussion with religious zealots.

In my earlier post below, I mentioned a group consisting of mostly Christian women who have trans kids and how they are fighting for their rights to exist and live their lives, just like the rest of us.

@JSul3 I'm not religious what are you going on about.
@JSul3 I’ve found strong feelings on both sides. I’ve been an LGBT ally for decades, but when I’ve said simply that there are aspects to today’s trans activism that I don’t understand, I’ve had the experience of being shouted down and it viewed as an attack. 🥺

@Peaceandnamaste Religious zealots are leading the charge against trans kids, along with politicians who seek political gain (votes) on their culture war.

@bijouxbroussard What specific activism do you not understand?

What are these 'aspects?'
