I have read the transcripts of her trial and rehabilitation. People have gotten fixated on her "crossdressing" which was a pretext for her politically motivated trial. She did not cross dress until her calling. And dressing as a man was pragmatic in combat then. She dressed in men's clothes in custody, but that was deter being raped. And she was subjected to attempted rape. Nothing in her testimony reflects sex, gender, etc. She says in her testimony that she was told by God to cross dress and that after her calling was finished she would return to normal attire.
