This reminds me of when men in a school somewhere protested that they didn't get to wear skirts for school uniform as skirts are more comfortable and airy. It ended up with them getting to wear skirts too. This was before lgbtq was getting much attention.

I think I remember hearing about that years ago. It was on the subject of world news.
I think I kinda remember what country it was. I wanna say Switzerland or was it Sweden

@HumanEarth It wasn't Sweden. So I'd go for UK Scotland or Switzerland

Not new Mary Quant sold men's mini skirts in the sixties/seventies.

I wear a sarong (a wrap-around skirt) on various occasions. For what it's worth it is traditionally a male garment in many societies; I'm not wearing it to "cross-dress" but because it is very comfortable.
I really hope that all distinctions between male and female clothing will break down over time, so that anyone can wear whatever is expressive and comfortable without being looked at weirdly.

I love a fifteen to seventeen in denim skirt for lots of activities. Cool airy and they don't mash your nuts.

I wear a towel around my waist for a while after taking a shower. Does that count?
