I Believe Lgbt People Have The Same Rights As Straight People

So last night my girlfriend took me out to dinner, no big deal right? But the hostesses were really rude. At first it seemed like no big deal, but then she asked us if a high top seat was fine and we politely requested a booth. She seemed upset about this, said it would be a minute so we took a seat to wait.
When she returned she appeared to have an attitude and took us to our seats. After sitting there a while and eating our rolls they bring out, another table got up and left. The bus boy came out and started cleaning and then the rude hostess and another one came over to where he was working and started talking and glaring in our direction.
I just don't get what we did to deserve that? Were they mad we asked for a booth and sat on the same side? Or were they targeting us because our sexuality? Regardless I just wish people could learn to respect others and mind their own business.

@Cutelife26: oh believe me, I wanted to. I looked right back at them to let them know, nobody's dumb and we know what they're doing. & the girl literally looked right at me and rolled her eyes in disgust as she walked by, my girl just kept telling me to calm down because I was ready to snap.
