Last nite, a good uni friend told me that she couldn’t associate herself with any LQBTIQ community..

Little did she know that I am a femme lesbian, and I am not out to her because of her moral compass. Losing a good friend like her because of my sexuality is something that I am not ready to do yet… But I know, I have to lose this beautiful friendship eventually.😭

Hopefully ending the friendship will be a wakeup call for her. If you mean so much to her, I truly hope it will cause her to take a good look in the mirror and re-evaluate what she thought she believed, and the consequences of those alienating beliefs. Nobody should ever lose friends because of something like gender identity or sexuality. I'm sorry 😔

@BigAssLeech Thank you so much for your kind words.

U know this has happened to me alot in the past. At times i dont have anyone as a friend and then at times i have a few people. Its sad to see her go for that reason.
Tinkerxbell · 41-45, F
@Chelsiegirl She is religious, that’s why.😞

@Tinkerxbell u never know.. people change threw out there life. but sometimes we just loose people who dont agree with us.. it happened to me. i had a group of friend i use to hangout with. One by one they rejected me and pushed me out. it was hard but im a better person because of that

@Chelsiegirl Thank you for sharing your story, I appreciate it. Like you I feel rejected by her religious view. Such is life.

I’m sorry to hear this. Doesn’t really give me much hope for if I ever decide to come out publicly. I hope she can shed those views and your friendship can remain.
Tinkerxbell · 41-45, F
@Imsleepy I know right? I feel so wretched even in this era, being gay is not fully acceptable. My good friend holds a PhD and we could always have a very intellectual conversation about everything but Homosexuality. I am devastated beyond words.

That's too bad. Many of my friends at home are lesbian or bi, and a lot of my friends here are the same way. Sexuality shouldnt make a difference among friends.
Tinkerxbell · 41-45, F
@TexChik Well said.

Sad how something that doesn't affect your relationship with her can be so divisive ...
Tinkerxbell · 41-45, F
@ozgirl512 exactly.. 😣
Fukfacewillie · 56-60, M
What does “any community” mean exactly?
Tinkerxbell · 41-45, F
@Fukfacewillie She doesn’t support such ‘lifestyle’ and totally against it. So much for friendship, eh.
Fukfacewillie · 56-60, M
@Tinkerxbell I’m sorry to hear it. If she knew do you think it would challenge her bigotry in a productive way?
