Intersex is confused with transgender

I often have to explain the difference. If someone is willing to try to understand and learn better I am willing to explain it as simply as possible. Being female and male at the same time. Intersex activists often fight against ending non consensual surgeries on intersex children and babies. Transgender people want hormone replacement therapy and access to gender affirming surgeries. Unintentional ignorance of certain demographics is ok as long as someone wants to understand and know better. I rather get asked an awkward question about what intersex is instead of someone not wanting to know at all.
