"People Are People"...

So the song goes, by Depeche Mode.

And, yes, that answers a gamut of questions and ideas. From love, to hate, to greed etc. But, we're talking about sexuality here.

I have a number of people in my immediate family that are bisexual or lesbian. 2 daughters. My mum (my step-mum, for want of a better term, or 'associate mum' as she likes it, being a teacher) and my aunt, both are married to lovely woman who's perspective on life have added to my own.

I never understand how people get grossed out or repulsed to the extent of violence or verbal abuse. Why? It's nothing to do with you. What are you afraid of?

Being a lesbian or bisexual is not in my orientation but I can appreciate it, the people that are gay/lesbian/bi, and accept that love is love. There's enough badness in the world these days, anyways, so why can't we just celebrate love between two people?

Someone's personal choices on who they find attractive or want to be with, are just that: their personal choice.

Really, there is enough bs in tbe world, why does anyone else feel the need to try to control some one elses life?

To quote Depeche Mode (nicely done mentioning People Are People btw):

"Now I'm not looking for absolution
Forgiveness for the things I do
But before you come to any conclusions
Try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes

You'll stumble in my footsteps"
