I'm sorry @PumpkinSpice but whenever these pride things come up that is what it's like.
It's not just Gay Pride, they're all like it. We had a woman's one a few months back and honestly I felt guilty for being a man, I had only gone out food shopping.
@PumpkinSpice I didn't mind your comment at all, it was fine. I just didn't know about Gay Pride Month. I don't really mind what sexuality people have it's not my business, but likewise my sexuality isn't there's. Respect and pride can be done quietly in small ways everyday.
@TopCat its not been easier for the Lgbtq comity tho that's why there's a pride mouth not long ago it was ilgel that's why there's a pride mouth and why it is so big
And I get that @PumpkinSpice truly I do. But other communities have been through worse hardships but have nothing, also it was decriminalized 50 years ago. It's become a political statement now more than about pride in who you are
@TopCat I don't get what you are trying to say ..just cuz same sex marriage is know ligle we shoulder celebrate It. still abuse at my collage almost EVRY day for being bi .just cuz it's legal dosent mean all the hate hand abuse has stopped and yeah a lot of over comity have been throw a lot worse I never said there wasent and I wish I could do something about it but by my self I can't. Gay pride isent about clebarting lgbtq it's showing the world we ain't scared to show of who we are and be are selfs (sorry for the bad spelling and lack of grammar)
@TopCat I’ve been spit on in public for my choice of partner. Have you? I was still hiding my sexuality when Mathew Shepard was beaten to death for being gay in Laramie, WY. I understand things are better and you are young enough to not remember, but things were pretty bad before. Light & love. ☮️
I'm sorry @JustGoneNow that is awful! Not spat or for my sexuality but I have been beaten up coz of my faith, as have countless others and I don't go marching through the streets coz of it (partly coz it still goes on probably) but we wouldn't be allowed. But sticking to sexuality, I'm not allowed to speak about my desire, on here there isn't an option for it and I am getting private therapy sessions to allow me to explore those thoughts and desires. It's not bad or dangerous it's just unusual and have been completely shunned by friends because of it.
@TopCat I’m sorry. Many people do publicly profess their faith. I take no issue with that. The reason there is “pride” is because we were shamed for so long. I’m sorry for your suffering as well. Light & love.
Thank you @JustGoneNow. I guess what I don't get is that they don't profess it by marching through the streets en mass shouting about it. Largely it's done on a personal level, which I respect and can except more. By holding these parades, it's not about acceptance, or celebrating. It turns it into almost a protest and a list of demands, which just reinforces the cycle of fear between groups
