2nd March 2025

Well it's been a crap few days. My Gout has flared up and apart from my limping around it's extremely psinful. Up to about five years ago I didn't think Gout was something that I'd ever get. Then I had a blood test and a warning I was at risk of getting Gout. I did try adjusting my diet to lessen the chances, but it wasn't enough and since then it does flare up every so often. I should have been at the gym this morning, but just too much pain and also struggling to walk properly.I may be kidding myself, but it feels a little better this afternoon. Fingers crossed!
That apart things seemed to be going well. Hitting the gym three times a week and also swimming three tines a week. Saturday had become the day of rest. Hopefully I'll be back in the pool tomorrow. I was up to 1100 metres in each session, and was targeting 1500 metres, but that may now be much further away. I am still a really bad swimmer.
Things are still going well with my wife. We are dressing for dinner most nights, and she's nearly always wearing one of my dresses! Our sex life is also going well. She's enjoying oral sex more and more, especially giving - she always loved taking. Thst said she is only just getting into me enjoying a cream pie, but she is loving those extra orgasms!
I'm still getting lots of offers of meets from many guys, but I'm sticking to my promises, though some are extremely difficult to resist. And there's still the possibility of a threesome, though I'm less convinced that it may happen currently. She is still very happy to talk about the posdibility and how it might unfold, but that's still as far as it goes.

I don't think someone who can swim over a kilometre and say they want to do more can call themselves a bad swimmer!

My father in law had occasional bouts of gout, there didn't seem to be anything that could be done about it then. Is there any promise of some effective treatment? It used to be said that an overindulgence in port (and other alcohol of course) was the cause, longe since debunked of course. And he was the next best thing to teetotal anyway, a glass or two of wine at Christmas dinner was about all he drank.

With all that swimming you must be pretty fit, I'm tempted to try to work out how to tempt you!

@ninalanyon I may be swimming over a kilometre, but the number of times I get overtaken demonstrates I'm not very good technically, I'm just improving my endurance. As for the gout there doesn't seem to be anything other than diet, lots of water to break up the crystals and anti inflammatory tablets when flare ups arise.
And I'm very easily tempted, but maybe now I'm older, and hopefully wiser I'm not going to risk a relationship that's going well. Given her memory issues I don't know how long this will last, but I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.

@22Michelle I still think that your swimming probably puts you in a tiny minority of fit people, probably the top ten percent or much better. And I applaud your loyalty.
