Wearing Cockrings

I have never worn a cockring but am becoming interested. Am seeing more guys wear them. I've always been worried my dick will go numb and have to be amputated, haha. But I don't know, are they really that good?

They can certainly enhance performance duration and, of course improve visibility whilst wearing trousers or swim gear.
My personal preference is for a leather strap which can be loosened occasionally to allow free circulation of blood.
