Is this weird? (bi female)

My friend doesn't think I'm really bi because I only find male characters in shows and books attractive. (We like to talk about our "favourite" characters because we're both fandom geeks) Not really a problem or anything. Though I tend to find both male and females attractive in real life, but never really had any crushes on female characters before.
I'm probably going to get shit for this.

the only thing i find weird in this situation is ur friend! :) its not up to her who u find attractive regardless if its fiction or reality! vie versa too

@BondGirl84: You made a valid point there. I'll tell her that when she brings it up again.

It's not uncommon for bisexual people to be de-legitimized by both gay and straight people. It's part of the binary system of thinking we have regarding sex and sexuality. A person is either married or single, gay or straight, man or women. Yet there are more dimensions to sexuality than most ever consider.

Sexuality exists along a spectrum and what makes sense to you is as legitimate as what makes sense to anyone else. Sexual orientation is about much, much more that body parts and crushes. The way we related to the genders may differ and yet be valid.

Don't sweat it. You learn to let it slide off your back.

Why put a label on yourself? Just be.... No expectations, nothing to be upset about

@Typicalpisces: You're right. I think I've been hanging around my friend too much. She tries to find labels to help find her who she is, and thinks she's "genderfluid"? and I also have a cousin who questions whether or not I'm bi, mainly because her older sister was just pretending and it became a stupid fad at her school. -_-

@Luciell: I consider myself to be pan-sexual... Which means that I don't see the labels... Boys and girls are not differentiated.

Well, that's just it. You never had it, yet.

@caramelonjamzhenping: Sex doesn't really tell anything about your orientation. You could find out you're gay and still be a virgin.
