Has gender self id perhaps gone too far?

I don’t know. If you can simply claim to be trans without any gender recognition certificate or medical diagnosis, I think that opens the possibility of sexually predatory men pretending to be trans women to go into female spaces. That is not cool and I am a hermaphrodite intersex woman who closely resembles a female for the most part except my insides. I actually take self id as a bit of a slap to the face because intersex and trans first often got conflated with one another. Second, the actual trans people are being swept in the current with predators pretending to be trans. It is a great idea in theory to help trans people live according to their gender but in practice it is much more complicated.
