I think it’s disrespectful to not call a trans person what they wish to be called

While my values align more with social democrats and I know someone who refuses to call trans people by what gender identity they have because it goes against their beliefs. They will use the chosen name to refer to them but apart from that, they think it is feeding a delusion. They say it is like wanting to be called a six year old girl when they are an adult. It’s not based in reality and it’s a disorder. I respect trans people and their forms of address and pronouns. I will call someone what they wish to be called. Although I understand she is right about being uncomfortable with a fully male bodied individual say in the locker room or bathroom with her. I would feel uncomfortable if the person is interested in women. But not if the person is a homosexual transexual who is only interested in men and sexually inverted. I may have been in a bathroom or changing room with a trans person and never known . I’m intersex but female on the outside so it makes sense for me to go to the women's facilities. I feel if intersex of the body can happen, then intersex of the brain can happen. I’m sympathetic towards trans people and other intersex people because it is not easy. So my friend said an intersex woman with a penis but looks female otherwise should go with what sex she most closely aligns with. She said that conditions like mine are rare ( I have female sex organs though externally) and that I. Cannot conflate a biological variation of sex development being born both as female and male with a mental health disorder. She also liked Charlie. Kirk on certain things and I was like goddamn I strongly disagreed with Charlie Kirk on just about everything but he should not have been killed. She said I should watch his debates and how he changed people’s minds on college campuses. We are two opposites yet somehow still friends. I still think it’s disrespectful to call a trans prison their birth sex. She will call me whatever I want because I’m both sexes but she naturally gravitates. Towards calling me feminine forms of address as a habit. She said depending where you are in the south you don’t see much of this gender bending stuff. A man can be feminine and a woman can be masculine but still live as their biological sex. I will use she/her, he/him, they/them for like gender nuetral and non binary. I find neopronouns to be confusing though. And asking someone for their pronouns and forms of address is still so awkward. But now I found a way around it I don’t call anyone ma’am or sir anymore and I use gender neutral language like everybody or folks to refer to groups of people or you all., so yeah that’s what I think and feel.
