ugh y’all… family drama on my dad’s side has me so irritated.
my sweet cousin just got engaged to the sweetest girl. & of course somebody had to ruin it. my uncle (the pastor 🙄) said “i love you but that’s not right.” like… i love you but? what do you mean BUT?? the second you add “but,” the love ain’t real anymore.
me and my other cousin jumped in real quick to defend her because who are you to judge somebody’s happiness? and then her mom (my aunt) comes in talking about “you 3 should be ashamed for being hateful when he’s just speaking god’s word” like we’re the problem.
so i said it loud and clear… since we’re talking about sin so publicly, how come nobody had this energy when certain family members had kids out of wedlock? or committed adultery? funny how the bible only gets thrown at people when it’s convenient for them.
i can’t stand when people hide behind religion just to tear others down. let people be happy. let love be love. i’m over the fake “love” with a disclaimer attached.
