What kind of sick “families” put their lgbtqia + children in conversion therapy?

And conversion therapy is abuse plain and simple. Trying to change someone’s sexual orientation or gender identity ( naturally there from the time they were small no one putting ideas in their heads and not caused by other trauma or conditions like autism) is wicked as can be. I still can’t believe in quite a few states conversion therapy is still legal . It’s disheartening and sickening. What kind of families don’t love their kids enough to accept them for who they are instead of who they want them to be? The children are not possessions; they are people.
