But my issue really is with the casting of Heathcliff, because the character is not meant to be a white man, but they casted Jacob Elordi🤒

@Opulent So this is one of the problems with making a movie of Wuthering Heights. Nelly is an unreliable narrator, so we're not supposed to be sure that what we're hearing is true.
Heathcliff is described as being brown-skinned at one point, but then at another point he's described as being pale white. We're really not supposed to know what he looks like. But in a movie, it's harder to pull off stuff like that.
So yeah, I'm fine with the casting, they just can't be as ambiguous about his appearance.

@BohemianBabe Still it just feels like favoritism, and Hollywood choosing the same actors for everything. I feel like Heathcliff is actually a nonwhite man and his representation in the film is important TBH.
I also really love Little Women and Jane Eyre, I love the classics, BTW:)
