What is the third sex which would suddenly become illegal given the implication(s) of the speech 🤔

@Adogslife First mistake. Gender and sex are not the same thing. This is high school stuff.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Sorry. I went to hs in the dark ages. Gender and sex were the same concept. There wasn’t a need for gender fluidity because it had no legal bearing and literally didn’t exist as part of the curriculum.
Having said that, and admitting confusion over the need to distinguish in the first place, what is the legal need to identify as a feminine male or masculine female e.g.?
Birth certificates and licenses are both physiological. Gender, when fluidity comes into question, is psychological. Why the hysteria? It’s not like anyone tosses their papers because they’re pissed the doctor noticed they have a penis at birth. Life goes on.
Be what you want. Ultimately, nobody really cares. They just care that you’re a nice person. That’s the basis of acceptance, not a gender continuum.

@Adogslife Um no. That has not been true since the 1920s in terms of them being the same thing. Gender studies were a thing even in Weimar Germany. The research and the facilities were the first thing they attacked.
And just because people were not public about it doesn't mean they were not around.
If you are interested look into the phenomenon of a massive spike in left handed people from census data. Was there something in the water that made more people left handed?
No, they just stopped beating kids with rulers for being a south paw.
It matters because legal recognition comes with protections. This bigotry and singling people out for not fitting an arbitrary norm literally gets people killed.
Last I checked a transgender woman is about 4 times more likely to be murdered or a victim of violent assault.
I really wish we did live in that utopia where nobody cares and are nice to each other. I really do. But we both know that is not reality.
And acceptance should not be conditional on conformity.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Legal protection under the law? Can you be more specific? Doesn’t the Equal Rights Amendment protect (one) against discrimination based on sex and/or gender?
