A lot of people, even straight people who really believe they’re Christians, make up a Jesus who is okay with whatever sin they don’t want to let go of. And they all refuse to hear about what the Bible says. “Only God can judge me!” they say. Yeah…but do they know the God who’s judging them? No. (I say this as I struggle with my own sins and hard-heartedness. Don’t want anyone thinking I think I’m any better.)
@Colonelmustardseed They have obviously never read the bible with the way they act. From the age of seven years old until my mother threw me into foster care, she chose her second husband over me, I read it cover to cover about nine times, my uber religious mother demanded my older brothers and myself read it each and every year and give her oral reports our interpretation of the sermon every sunday after service before going to breakfast.
@greensnacks In fact I personally knew some uber religious extremists from when I was growing up in iowa during the 80's that would most likely put them against a wall for a firing squad.
HOW is it wrong? It's wrong by someone telling someone else what to do with their bodies and spare time and lynching them for that. It's also wrong because Christianity is not everyone's religion of choice. Or rules to follow. It's also wrong to hate other people that are different than one. Shows the level of primitivity one can have. Kill thy neighbors. Kill the sinners. That what Jesus said? Ancient times, are we living in ancient times? In ancient (Christian land) times you could be burned to the stakes for using "devil devices" such as the internet. Yet here we are.
