Yesterday was the celebration of Nottingham Pride, and annual (well, with the exception of the dreaded Covid Years) event throughout the City where I live.
Myself, my fella, Britt, her fella, Roxy, Ros and Jade joined the march through the city of, from what I've been told, well over 8,000 supporters of the LGBTQ++ community. I was told this morning that my mum and dad were out as well, but I never saw them, sadly...
Here's a few pics...
..oh, and this cute one....
There were various events and things happening throughout the day. Some drag queens, some poets, DJ's. I hear they were quite well known (not to this l'il Country Lovin' T Girl here, but my girls loved 'em!) and comedians. People were dressed up, some in regular clothes. Some characters from Star Wars I saw!
Few drinks were consumed throughout the day, sweeties....and then a late rush back to the clubs for a dance and....erhhh....just how many shots did we do?
Somehow we got back home. Forgot to turn my alarms off so they woke Matt and me up. I think we had, like, 4 1/2 hrs sleep!
But still, a fun and worthwhile time. Meeting and mingling with fellow brothers and sisters...and...the smiles; we could have powered a whole city with that positive energy!
