When sportsmen and women have big games on its advised to refrain from s*xual activity right?

I get that Qatar is anti lgbt+ but how did they get it?
And for a period of the games are people able to not engage in public pda whilst they are there for their safety?
I'm not in support of their laws but I am in support of public safety.
And I would hate for anyone to be subjected to a hate crime or thrown in prison for being lgbt.

@Gangstress I am not agreeing with any of this because it feels like a massive step back for humanity.
But I feel like this is a problem that will only get bigger if an attack or jail sentence is placed on someone.
Their views are so rigid that potentially all the peace that's been built over the years could be destroyed.
I know this probably hurts more because I'm sure you've had to deal with your own fair. Share of prejudice over the years.
And I am sorry, if I had a magic wand I would remove this hate.

The whole situation was corrupt. Fifa has corrupted the beautiful game and the FA have as well. The cup should never have been in Qatar but they paid fifa off.

@Gangstress and this is how the world seems to go.
All I can hope is that with the world cup being there, by having lgbt players and supports/fans there they will develop tolerance. That perhaps they can view the person and not the sexuality.
We all have a place on this earth whether lgbt or of a different race.
