Does she like me or I'm I delusional?

So I've never been in a relationship with a girl before and because of that i really don't know if a girl is flirting with me. I just think they are being nice. But there's this girl who goes to college with me that I had never met in person until a 2 weeks ago that really makes me question if I am getting the wrong signals. We've known each others existence for almost 2 years now. The first time we interacted she sent me a message saying she thought I was really smart and she liked the way i participated in class, I had no idea how she even found my social media and my phone number to send me numerous texts about how she admired my work (although we do have several group chats in common so she probably had to do a little research to find out I guess). As time when by she would send me texts here and there wishing me a happy holiday and things like that and at this point I just thought that she was just a really nice and decent human being and she is. Maybe I'm just getting the wrong signals but I have friends and I never had a similar experience like this. When we met in person she recognized me immediately (I struggled to recognize her and i felt bad) but then i would catch her stares in class and I feel like she wants to say something but she doesn't know how or maybe she wants me to take the initiative but i don't know exactly what to say. She is nice and well-mannered and is always with her group of friends, she wants to include me in her team for grup projects (we have done that in the past) and likes to sit close to me in class, my group of friends take other classes with different teachers so I'm alone in some occasions with her and her friends. Everything is fine I'm just confused I think, and if you ask if i'm the one who likes her the answer yes but as a friend, i need to get to know some one before I can develop feelings for them. I don't want to take thinks the wrong way. By the way I'm not out yet and I don't know if she...you know is queer or not although she did have a rainbow in her description on whatsapp. Help
