How to foster/adopt?

Hello my soon to be wifey and I are seriously considering adoption. We aren't sure how to start. Anyone who could help us that greatly appreciated.

My parents tried to foster and like adoption there is alot of hoops to jump through. I would Google your states requirements.

@PurpleBearCub I would echo this reply. It's a good idea to know the layout of the maze before walking it.

Along those same lines, you may want to consider giving things a year for a marriage to settle in. That's a huge adjustment and a balancing act of this magnitude is really tough to pull off.

@Graylight we want to do that too I'm just kind of feeling old and I've wanted kids since I was young and we are just kind of figuring out what we need to do and all that. We just want to help kids they deserve a home and to be loved unconditionally
