Nope. I'm home schooling children and discovering more flaws in how they're being taught.

@itsMEsillyxx depends how many people bother to look at what they are learning I guess.

@Paliglass true. what was the #1 flaw u've found?

@itsMEsillyxx today? Language. How they are teaching languages. The standard way that works is to teach vocab first. My daughter is in year 1 of Spanish, they are not learning vocab. They give sentences to translate and apparently the teacher writes out the sentences and they copy them.

First you learn vocab. Then you learn verbs and verb formations. Then you can form it into sentences.

I don't know any Spanish and I could work out better what it was saying than my daughter based on having learnt French and Latin.

So I scrapped this nonsense of Googling the translation of full sentences and went to basics. Coulors, found a song about colours, we learnt that. Tomorrow it's body parts. So she can get to "I have brown hair" It's really stupid.

But I'm not surprised. My eldest son came home years ago with chemistry that was completely wrong. I was furious. I complained today on answer machine and I complained back then.

No wonder neither of my older sons could learn a language at school, I thought they were lazy but it's clearly how they are teaching it that's the problem.

@itsMEsillyxx no, I don't mind teaching my own children but I don't want to teach other peoples.
