1978-

Forty-four years ago today, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) -- the largest psychiatric organization in the world -- made history by issuing a resolution stating that homosexuality was not a mental illness or sickness. This declaration helped shift public opinion, marking a major milestone for LGBTQ equality.

Whatever helps the status quo 🤷‍♀️ lol

@SW-User The resolution stated, “We will no longer insist on a label of sickness for individuals who insist that they are well and demonstrate no generalized impairment in social effectiveness.” The statement continued to say the APA supports “civil rights legislation at local, state, and Federal levels that would insure homosexual citizens the same protections now guaranteed to others.”

🤣🤣🤣

@SW-User Homosexuality can still be considered a conscious choice, it is a choice to sleep with the same gender, where as the Christian man would choose to wait until he is married to a woman before he has sex, if a ''straight man'' can be chaste and control his urges then why can't this community? rather than be promiscuous?
Jakefromnj · 41-45, M
@Andy69 oh of course Straight Christians don’t sleep around and wait for marriage. If you believe that then you have the illness

@Andy69 As I've stated before the beginning of the end of humanity and the rise of mindless drones but to each their own until it effects everyone on a bigger scale then laws will be rewritten *again and again and again lol

@Jakefromnj I can indeed believe that sir, I waited until I was 24 before I lost my virginity as I waited until the right time, I am not naive.
@Andy69 How about your fellow Christians? Did every one of them wait?

@Andy69 first of all most straight Christians do not wait and are very Promiscuous And secondWere you married?
Andy69 · 51-55, M
@wilderflower I wouldn't say that I know them all personally but I know that when they came to know Jesus they were dedicated to his word, there is also such a thing called repentance, forgiveness and it applies to those who truly repent of all their wickedness, including my own, so I won't be hypercritical.
@Andy69 That doesn't answer my question so I'll try it again.

How about your fellow Christians? Did every one of them wait?
Andy69 · 51-55, M
@Jakefromnj I can assure you that not all Christians are promiscuous and I for one certainly never slept around, there have only been two sexual relationships , and no, I was not married, and I did leave the church, but as I say, there is a thing called repentance, but it's not an excuse to keep sinning, this applies to me and you sir.
Andy69 · 51-55, M
@wilderflower I only got someones word for it as this is a very private matter, but I was told that one of my church members was not the type to do it, he was really strong for the lord, I think though she only wanted him cos he was a handsome rugby player !
Jakefromnj · 41-45, M
@Andy69 therefore you should not judge. So stop judging and stop spreading the word because nobody gives a crap. To each is own live by those words because they’re better than anything you’re reading.

@Andy69 encountering people like you, it's sometimes hard to remember that Christians can be good people sometimes. Take your judgementalist shit and shove it back where it came from.
Andy69 · 51-55, M
@Jakefromnj We are all human and I'm not judging you, but if what I say is offending you then you have a problem with the truth.
@Andy69 So in other words not every one of your fellow Christians waited.
Andy69 · 51-55, M
@wilderflower Probably not, but I guess this was before they came to Christ.
@Andy69 Don't get dodgy on me. Your fellow "Christians" didn't wait until marriage to have sex. Correct?
Jakefromnj · 41-45, M
@Andy69 no you’re not judging at all. You’re just coming onto an LGBTQ post and Making judgment. 🤔
Jakefromnj · 41-45, M
@wilderflower trust me I don’t think he’s going to answer that lol
@Jakefromnj I don't think so either lol.
Andy69 · 51-55, M
@Jakefromnj I only asked a question if homosexuality can be cured.
@Andy69 And that wasn't a judgmental question at allllll. 🙄
Jakefromnj · 41-45, M
@Andy69 dude it’s not the question you asked it’s your response to comments. Why don’t you come over and get in bed with me I’ll show you sin
