Is getting angry at people for their homophobia a moral imperitive?

I'm combatting a lot of stereotypical rural bigotry recently and I'm feeling very jaded.

Getting angry at them, no. Educating them and welcoming them to adopt a mindset befitting of the 21st century yes. Opposimg them if they choose to retain their bigoted stance, absolutely.
