Do you know anyone who committed suicide over being gay?

My cousin was a year younger than me. He was quite athletic and my uncle was so proud of him. Problem was, he was gay and living in a very strict Christian home in central Washington back in 1978. He shot himself.

One of my classmates did. I didn’t know em well but we talked a little bit.. everyone pretty much made fun of him when we used to be in high school. A year after graduation I find out he’s dead. No one should have to go through that kind of stuff, no matter what their sexual orientation is.
