When did you come out of the closet

@SW-User The only reason I could was because of my best friend Sam who had passed away. She taught me during her life what real courage is. Not my kind of mouthy attitude but a quiet resolve to refuse to let anybody tell you who or what you are.

@DarkHeaven i know what you’re going through. one of my best friends died on December 28th. She was only 20. Such an awesome person.

@Lindaisfun Sam was just going to be twenty. I met her when she was 18 and she ended her own life then. She was beautiful soul but so very sad. I often feel like I failed her as a friend but I just hope she found the peace denied her in this life and maybe knew that I really loved her so very much. 🖤

@Lindaisfun I was two years older and I always thought of her like my kid sister or something. I miss her.

@Lindaisfun @SW-User Sam was the sweetest, shyest, and quietest person ever. If you took the time to know her she was amazing. Such a beautiful mind and artistic eye. Sam was so sad, though. She was born a boy and this was before Matthew Shepard’s death and it was a much different and scary time to be anything but straight. When she came out, I helped her collect her things from her parents yard after they kicked her out. Her life was never easy and she just wanted people to not be mean. They didn’t even have to like her. Just not be fucking mean. She was really just too special for the world, I think. It didn’t deserve her. 🖤
