I am asking just outta curiosity. How do those that are genderfluid find out that they were?

I've always been this way. I just never knew there was a label for it. I struggled as a child because there were more times that I felt masculine than feminine. I didn't have a support system and was abused because of this. Now, I'm more self-confident and self-aware.
