him, her, them, they, it???

[c=#7700B2]im all for supporting people being who they feel they are but these pronouns are getting kind of ridiculous. Be yourself but I don't think people should get offended when others don't call them by the pronoun they want for example Them or they when only referring to one person.
And I do hate how it is just expected that everyone has to go along with that or know about it and if you don't you are discriminating against them.. just a thought I have been having for a while now[/c]

I don't know, but it seems some people get offended by being identified as either male or female, as if either as in insult.

@sometimeslonelytoo [c=#7700B2]yeah it is crazy.. since when did either become such a bad thing?[/c]

@PlumBerries I don't know. For people who suffer from Gender Identity Disorder (I believe it's called) that makes sense, otherwise, who knows?

[c=#7700B2]I get that but my only real problem with it is that everyone is now expected to go along with calling them whatever. It just seems rude to me to call someone as they or them or it.. [/c]

@PlumBerries Sometimes I think people might be being sneeky and don't want their gender identified when they're being referred to in the third person. Perhaps that's why they want to be referred to using what was traditionally a plural form? I find it ugly grammatically though.

[c=#7700B2]possibly and yeah I agree with you on it grammar wise[/c]
